I donated the leaping deer to the Idaho chapter of NRA for their auction fund raiser. Approx. 200 pieces, it brought them $300 which was quite nice they told me. I mounted it on a piece of wood I found while hiking in the Northern Idaho wilderness so it is actually three dimensional in that the deer is mounted in the air and jumping over some rock and brush on the base. Approx. 2 feet high. I have participated each year for the last 3 years in NRA fund raising activities. I enjoy helping others raise funds for their helpful activities. I installed the mule deer in a panel in a gun cabinet. Approx. 100 pieces. Furniture applications are possible depending on the type of furniture as well as the type of art piece.
Both Mule Deer and Whitetail Deer are found in Idaho. For the southeast region, mulies are the most plentiful. They are a shy animal and rightly so come fall. They especially love the high country with its fir and pine forests and come down only when the snow is just too too deep to believe! And it's that way a lot of winters here!
